We feel you, figuring out which platform to use (they’re all excellent) can feel overwhelming.
Conclusions
We will cut to the chase here, the author of this article has concluded that:
Wix is the best for users who are building their own websites themselves and would like something that is easy to use with good customer service, yet still attractive. Keep in mind that with Wix, once you have published your website, the theme can’t be switched.
Squarespace is excellent too, but a little trickier to use.
WordPress is great in terms of unlimited customization and flexibility as well as an abundance of plugins. It is probably better for users with some tech knowledge or who have a web designer doing the set up. We’d like to note here that after the set up is done, publishing new content or updating existing content is very much like editing a Word document – easy. Also with the right plugin, SEO is a breeze. (We use Yoast)
Here are the conclusions, all in a nice, neat table. For the full article see Website Builder Expert.

The following conclusions are from another great piece that compares WordPress and Squarespace. It dives a bit further into costs, data & content ownership and also discusses the learning curve of each. Here are their conclusions:
Conclusions from Another Post: WordPress vs Squarespace
When considering a WordPress site versus a Squarespace site, it comes down to what you are in the market for in terms of your website, what your budget is, and what your experience level with websites might be.
Head to head, Squarespace offers a far more refined experience with a lot of the hassles of owning and managing a website taken care of for you. Squarespace has a lower learning curve, a slicker interface, and a solid support team for its all-in-one SaaS platform. From ecommerce to portfolios to blogging and more, Squarespace integrates it somehow into its platform. For someone who wants a professional website with as little friction as possible, Squarespace is the way to go.
WordPress, though, offers complete autonomy and customization, but has a mildly confusing interface and moderate learning curve. Every feature a site owner could need, however, is readily available. You just have to find the theme or plugin that provides it. In some ways WordPress can feel like the Wild West. But in reality, the piecemeal way themes, plugins, features, and such are handled makes it so that every type of site owner is catered to somehow. If you want to work on your website until it is pixel perfect in every regard, WordPress is the way to go.
